Los Angeles Film Festival
Room 140 is coming home to Los Angeles - so honored to screen LA Film Festival. For the past several months I have seen and worked with people who fight for the cause of Immigration rights every day. I am inspired and moved by their work on the front lines. It means so much to bring the film to the city of Los Angeles.

"In Room 140, a man in Oakland rents hotel rooms to immigrants newly released from detention centers. Filmmaker Priscilla Gonzalez Sainz talk to her subjects about their reasons for leaving their homelands. The experiences of these refugees in limbo are poignant and affecting, as when a young woman describes the hunger her daughter suffers, or two other subjects discuss their hopes for a new life in the U.S. This short is almost too short; viewers will want to know more about these engaging immigrants/refugees in crisis."
Bay Area Premiere
This past weekend, ROOM 140 had it's Bay Area premiere in the San Francisco DocFest Bay Area Stories program. I am so honored for the film to be part of this amazing lineup of films that represent the diversity, beauty, and hardship of the Bay.
